Are you installing a replacement device? Setting up a replacement device follows the same process as adding a second location or a new device to your Flume account, if you are looking to do this click HERE. Please follow the steps below to set up your replacement Flume:
When installing a replacement device you must use both the new Bridge and new Sensor. The old Bridge cannot be paired with a new Sensor.
To get started with settings up your replacement, add a new device to your account. Start by clicking on the hamburger menu on the left-hand side of your Flume app. Select ‘Add Flume Device’ from the menu.
You will be asked if you have checked to make sure your water meter is compatible. If you know your meter’s compatibility, select ‘yes’. If you aren’t sure, select ‘no’. If you select ‘no’, you will be asked to take a picture of your meter to check the compatibility.
Next, you will be asked if you would like to copy over the information from one of your existing locations. If you would like to do so, select ‘yes’. If not, select ‘skip’.
The Flume app will then walk you through the installation steps - starting with some basic information. You must name this location something different than any of your current locations.
If you want to stop at any point during the process, , click ‘Cancel’ in the upper left-hand corner. You will be taken to a status page showing the status of each installation. To continue installing, just click on a location that says ‘In Progress’.
