Detail+ offers you a brand new look at your water by showing you how much water the appliances in your home are using! Detail+ allows you to see what percentage of your water use comes from your toilets, showers, dishwashers, water softeners, sprinkler systems, and more. With new daily, weekly, and monthly comparisons, you’ll experience total control over your water use.

Detail+ goes small, so you can go BIG with more data, depth, and more detail.

To view this feature, go to the Detailed Page on the Flume App. Next, tap the box that says "Compare to Previous Period".

The time period in which you are currently viewing your water usage will be the same time period that is compared. For example, if you are viewing a week of water data Flume will provide a comparison of the previous week.

Scrolling down on the page you will see a Detail+ Breakdown which will show your water use separated by the individual household appliance and show a comparison of the previously selected time period. You can toggle which appliances are shown by clicking the dropdown on "Select Usage Category".

*Appliance breakdown values do not include usage from the current calendar day.

At the very bottom of the page, you will see a usage overview comparing the selected time periods.

The Machine Learning Engineering Team at Flume has a dataset of millions of water usage events and each of the event’s labels. Through a process of advanced machine learning, Flume has used these patterns and many more, to build tools that can figure out what appliance is generating each drop of water!

We’re constantly working on expanding and perfecting our machine learning database. Down the line, we’ll be bringing you even MORE appliances with precise measurements!
